Card games for two
By The Play Card Games Online team · Updated
Some of the best card games are made for exactly two players. Here are the classics, how each one plays, and where you can play cribbage, the best known of them, for two online.
Classic card games for two players
- Cribbage. Make fifteens, pairs and runs, peg your points on a board, and race to 121. Play cribbage here, against the computer or a friend on one device.
- Gin rummy. Draw and discard to build sets and runs, then knock when your leftover cards are low.
- Crazy eights. Match the suit or rank of the last card, and play an eight to change the suit. Coming soon here.
- Speed (or spit). Both players play at once onto shared piles, as fast as they can.
- Casino. Capture cards from the table by matching or adding up to the card you play.
- War. Pure luck: turn up cards and the higher one takes both. Good with young children.

Where we fall short
We don’t have online play yet. Today you can play the computer or a friend on the same device; playing people online, friend rooms and ratings come with accounts, and until then the sites that have them are the better pick for that.
